San Luis Obispo Mission and Edna Valley Vineyard Wedding | Michael & Marya, Part 2

Remember Michael & Marya’s Old Mission San Luis Obispo wedding?  I posted Part 1 right as we were transitioning from California to Colorado and have been looking forward to sharing their Edna Valley Vineyard reception ever since.  Here it is :)

Is California not the most. beautiful?!The honeysuckle bushes at the tasting room entrance smelled heavenly.  And were so fitting for a wedding. The wedding party all had a great time and really celebrated!I’m not sure there are words . . . ;)Then the bridesmaids and groomsmen retreated to the cocktail hour while Brittany and I spent some time with the so-in-love Bride and Groom.Marya, you are such a gorgeous bride.I’m pretty sure that’s pure contentedness radiating from Michael ♥  You can understand why. . .It’s really hard to choose a favorite part of shooting weddings, but I’m a huge sucker for the dances. . . I feel like the family dances are really the final “it’s real!” moments for the couple and their parents.  Everyone really really realizes things are now different and new.  And wonderful :)Marya seemed to adore being in her Maggie Sottero gown throughout the day, it photographed beautifully!Marya and Michael each said a few words to their guests thanking them for their love and support as well as for attending their “destination” event. {The couple and many of their friends and family were from Southern California, a few hours away.}The cake was by The CakeryDo you get the feeling the guests really enjoyed the venue?
The Bride and Groom stole away for a few sunset pictures during the reception.  I love when couples decide to this because some of my favorite pictures of the day are made at sunset!  The light is just so wonderful. . .

I can’t emphasize how much I loved this day.  Michael and Marya were the epitome of love and were such a joy to be with and photograph.
Thanks Brittany Gerth for having me!
