Flatirons & University of Colorado Boulder Engagement | Samantha & Alex

It’s been a number of months since I last blogged and for good reason! Gary and I have been getting to know our new baby boy, Bradley, and watching with delight as he continues to grow and change. He is five months old today. I don’t even know how that’s possible! The time has positively flown by. If this continues he’s going to be five years old before we know it. I am so enjoying my new role as a mom, more than I ever expected! I’ve stepped back a bit from business to focus on this precious time with Bradley and will have to do a post just about him soon to share the cuteness :)

This past Sunday I met with Samantha and Alex in Boulder for their engagement session and it felt so good to be back at it! A super sweet couple whose wedding is in 2014, these two are Texas transplants who fell in love with Colorado when Alex decided to venture here for college at the University of Colorado Boulder. Samantha followed and they’ve decided to make their home here!  We began at Chautauqua Park, home of the famous Flatirons. It was my first time there and I was constantly wowed by its beauty and these two in it!

Alex did an impeccable job choosing Sam’s ring, I couldn’t get over it all afternoon!

Notice the little yellow butterfly that joined us in the image below and to the right:

After Chautauqua we moved to UC Boulder:

What a gorgeous school! The ivy, stone, arches . . . I’d like a do-over on university choice, please!

We’ll end with my favorite shot :) Alex and Sam, it was such a fabulous afternoon – thank you for showing me around your new home town! I’m eagerly counting down to your big day next July, it can’t come soon enough!
