Gowns, Parties & VEGAS

So I was feeling all stuck this morning wanting to write about something little, or my business future, or my dog . . . and then I read a tweet by Southern Weddings Magazine about Airplanes & Blazers (the black-tie party that I’m going to during WPPI in Las Vegas next month!) and reading through the post reminded me that I get to wear a fabulous dress in just 3.5 weeks, in Vegas . . . at a black-tie party.

YAAAAY :)

So, I am now going to try on said dress (es) {I have to decide which to wear!} and get happy for today!

I am so glad that my Las Vegas future-roomie, Kate, told me about Airplanes & Blazers and I’m also pretty psyched that the lovely SWMag ladies are involved in it–BONUS!  We truly have a fantastic few days planned and I cannot wait to meet my roomie, Lara, Gina, Natalie, the rest of my Making Things Happen 2011 Vegas group . . . and the countless others that I’m guaranteed to meet at a convention with 15,000 photographers and hundreds of vendors!

I took this one below from. our. room. at the Bellagio.  We had an amazing view!!

My first trip to Las Vegas was in 2004 with my mom and dad and we stayed at The Venetian.  It’s held a special place in my heart ever since.  Plus, I looove all the beautiful Italian architecture and details!

Also at The Venetian is this beautiful roof top lounge area in the Venetzia Tower–had to visit it again.The Grand Canal Shoppes at The Venetian were one of my first Vegas experiences and they are still one of my favorites.  

Can you tell I love the Bellagio Fountain Show??  I could watch it all day.  We were sooo blessed on our past visit to have a view of it from our room so I got to watch it whenever we were there!  The music plays on one of the channels on the TV too, so I wasn’t without music.

The Bellagio was all decked out for Fall when we were there and as usual, it was a sight to behold.  They do a fantastic job decorating the whole place differently every season :)See you soon, Vegas!
